Two awards. One very proud LIFT crew. And another reason to celebrate in our fifth birthday year!
We’ve got some exciting news to share. LIFT has officially been named Best Cabin Crew in South Africa AND Best Domestic Airline in Africa at the 2026 World Luxury Travel Awards.
Two awards? You know we’re celebrating!
Especially when these wins are about how we make our travellers feel, and the incredible team who makes it all happen.
First things first. What are the World Luxury Travel Awards?
Established in 2020, the World Luxury Travel Awards recognise excellence across the global travel industry, celebrating the destinations, establishments and travel experiences that stand out from the rest.
Each year, more than 100,000 international travellers take part in the voting process, alongside guests and industry peers, helping to recognise excellence across a range of travel categories.
What makes these awards particularly meaningful? They’re shaped by the opinions of the people who experience travel firsthand.
So, to be recognised in not one, but two categories is something we’re incredibly proud of.

Since taking to the skies in December 2020, we’ve been on a mission to bring South African travellers a fresh flying experience.
Over five years, countless flights and plenty of memorable moments later, that commitment hasn’t changed.
We’ve grown, evolved and continued to find new ways to make the journey better. But through it all, one thing has remained constant: our belief that the people behind the experience make all the difference.
To receive this recognition in such a milestone year is a reminder of just how far we’ve come, and a pretty exciting look at what’s next.
